Help sooth horse fly bites?

My horse reacts badly to these and is currently covered in them. I have just purchased a new much better fly rug to the old one he had and I turned him out at night. I also feed garlic, but can anyone add any other suggestion to help prevent them biting or sooth the swollen bites as he looks like a pin cushion at the moment.

Smother the lumps in aloe vera gel. That should help.

Used Gold Label arnica and witch hazel on my lad seemed to work for him, cant believe how bad the flies are this year.

to soothe it use aloe vera cream or jellt to keep them away use a fly spray called power phaser!
