I have just bought a new horse she is 6 a trotter/isp and was broken in October as she was originally breed for driving. She acts like a 2 year old but she doesn't act like a trotter and has huge potential for jumping. She eats happy hoof feed, she is quite spooky but very cheeky when ridden and always tries to stop she is unfit and is in training. I have heard that feed can make horses more loopey and spooky however i don't want to put her on calmer and she not have energy to be ridden what feed should i put her on ????????????

If she is not underweight then start with just hay. A healthy young horse should be able to keep her weight on from just forage feed. She is unlikely to be trying to stop when ridden because of lack of feed but because of lack of training and if she has only been broken in in October she will still have lots to learn. If you are finding her spooky and cheeky the best thing would be to start working on her training with an experienced person to guide you. They will also be able to help you with her diet.
