help strange hair loss

I went to feed my horse tonight and he had lost hair on the front of his upper leg. It is covered by his rug. It is right down to the skin but it was not bloody and the skin looked undamaged. It was hot to the touch. He was not lame. He is a 16.1hh tb x who lives out. He has been wormed and feed has remain the same.

Is he turned out with other horses? looks like a kick tht skinned the leg. Apply some Flamazine of wound cream and perhaps cold hose it to remove the heat first.

he is turned out with other horses but not sure if a kick would take the hair off so cleanly. I did put cream on it.

Is there any wire exposed anywhere, that's good at taking hair off
