Help - I have a 3yr old mare that gets very stressed when left alone. She goes out with 2 other mares and recently they have been taken out of the field to be exercised together and my moose just gallops up and down the field until they are turned back out again. If she is in her stable and they leave the yard she gets really wound up in the stable - it takes her a long time to settle . . .
I was thinking about buying a mirror for the stable, but there are other horses in, so it's not as if she's in on her own.
I don't want to move yards, as my current yard is near my home and it works really well as my daughter plays with the yard owner's daughter, but I also don't want my youngster's legs to get knackered . . . any advice - will she eventually get used to being on her own or can I do something to help her ???
Many thanks . .
