My mare is a 14.3hh Anglo-Arab X and she is very strong. She's in a running martingale, Dutch gag with loops that attach to two holes and a flash and she still doesn't stop. She does eventually stop but when I push her into canter she will either fling her head up or grab the reins by putting her head down, she also does this when I slow her down from canter to trot. She can also do this when moving from gait to gait. She isn't dangerous as such as she will listen on some days and on the road. She's got a hard mouth (due to previous owner as I've only had her 8 months) so I'm really not sure what to do. Just a little extra info, she's had a foal at 2/3 and was broken shortly after but then was sold on at 5 to a different lady who turned her away and re-broke her (as far as I'm aware) so she's been broken for 1-2years. Please can somebody give me some light on the matter!
