Hi I have recently purchased a pony she has had a season and becomes quite moody and also frisky. When I viewed the pony she was very placid as I am coming back into horses she was perfect however since purchasing and putting at my yard she becomes quite forward when leaving the field for hacking which was not the case at previous place. I have purchased stroppy mare supplement and also supercalm I am wondering if I can use both together in her feed or would this overdose if so which one would you suggest to be better. I have checked the ingredients and they are slightly different. Can someone advise me please.

Apart from the cost it should be fine to use both as like yo say they do slightly different jobs. I have my difficult young mare on both hormanise and steady up.
You say you have not had yours long so you may find she will settle in time and you can wean her off them.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will continue to use both for the settling in period. We seem to be having a difficult time with her so hopefully this will help a little. She appears unseperable with the gelding in the other field and becomes quite difficult to lead away once half way down the field she tries pushing and jiggy on her feet, then bolting off at her first chance back to him, so hoping this will help. Trying many different things at moment such as calm and firm and doing circles to get her to calm and focus attention on me so can actually get her to stand up and be groomed without constant bad manners and being flighty to get back to him.
