hi guys were trying to find a happy hacker cob 14.2 plus on a very limited budget, very wary as was stung with last horse we brought was ment to be quiet turned out to be a utter nut case that i couldt do any think with!!. must be local to midlands any help be great many thanks.

Do you have a local instructor? Would they be able to help? How about a share would that be any good? He/ she might know of something, so much goes up for sale through word of mouth and a gem could be waiting for you!

You could put a wanted ad in a local tack shop.

Where are you in the midlands? I take it buy from a private home or would you consider sales ?

Try the rescues, the reputable ones won't rehome something that's not suitable for you.

I have always found that ride and drive horses/ponies (as many cobs are) are very sensible, particularly on the roads, especially as they will probably have been brought up by professional drivers, who whilst usually being good horsemen don't stand any nonsense. Their horses as a rule are well-mannered and suitable as first horses.

Visit the Blue Cross at Rolleston, just off A38 near Burton on Trent, they have open afternoons every week when you can visit and talk the staff, it would give you an idea about what is involved in rehoming. You will have to be approved, and they would not let you have something unsuitable.

thank you every one, came across some dodgy dealers in west midlands/midlands trying to sell me the wrong horse again even though i am clear in my ability. oh well search goes on....
