Help - Trailer Electric Plug attachment !!!

Not quite sure how it happened but when I was detaching my trailer from my car tonight I have pulled the plug off of the electric cable - everything looks fully functional, but I just need to put the two things back together - does anyone have any advice - is it an easy job or do i need professional help (for the plug, not my stupidity for breaking it in the first place - although maybe help is needed for that too ! ! !).

It sounds like all your wires are in place but the cover has come off. All you need to do is match the notch of the electrical cable with a gap in the cover. There should be a little gully type thing that the cable should sit into. Once the cable's sitting in the gully and the notch is lined up correctly, the cover should close and snap shut.

I've replaced mine no problem. Just make sure all electrical connections are very tight. On the inside of your trailer door it will also tell you which wires go were. If you can't do it yourself, any electrical minded person will be able to fix it.
