Please share and post this everywhere. We really need to make these 2 bitches too hot to handle. Vanished in a field by their home. Mabel has a litter of 20 day old pups waiting for her to come - they desperately need their mum and her owners are distraught.

Hi, Thanks for sharing was just about to come and update you all. Thank you to everyone who has shared so far. Mabel was involved in an RTA crossing the M42 between junction's 10 & 11 last night. She is 5 and has puppies at home (and a lot braver than little Winnie). Her leg is broken in 4 places and she is very traumatised but she was happy to see her mum and dad when they arrived at the vets. She will be kept in until monday when she will have surgery and a metal plate fitted. But she is safe now.

Gaye & Eamon (mum and dad) have been out searching the area either side of the M42 looking for Winnie. Winnie is a young bitch and is very nervous. She will be extremely scared so needs to be approached gently or left.

Thanks

Awful to hear she's been injured but at least it sounds like it is treatable at least. Great that at least someone took her to a vets as well. Hope that Winifred is found soon.

Sorry to make that clear I mean left alone and a phone call made if she's scared as she may not approach strangers!

I;m sure you all have more than enough common sense to know what I meant :) x

Yesterday lunch time there was a suspected sighting of a springer (the 2 breeds do look similar) around junction 11 of the M42. They have had teams of people searching out all weekend. No joy so far :(

I had read that a motorist reported a deceased dog in the central reservation of the M42 but still awaiting full details ( listed as a Spaniel but same colour ) - I hope its not Winnie, I keep checking for updates as the snow and winds have been awful.
Fingers crossed for a safe return xx
