Might just want to check out the legalities of taking your clients with you - I knwo a hairdresser who is currently sueing her aprentice who went it alone and took clients with her, because it broke a contract - which is a shame, because its the client's choice!
Hairdressing contracts usually stipulate that the employer shall not se, t up a business within a certain distance of the original business. I'd be very surprised if the livery contract had a similar clause as I doubt if the owner had even thought that his daughter would want to set up in business when OP started her business.
