Hi Everyone,

Can anyone suggest some good saddles for my 17hh Warmblood/TB/ISH horse?? Had the saddler out who told me all my current saddles are too tight at the shoulder and :confused suggested an Isabell Werth Flock dressage saddle which I tried and really liked. Am based in Ireland where for some reason they are at least £150 dearer then in UK so have decided to buy one from ebay!! Now the biggest problem, I also need a GP/event/jumping saddle and it can't be a stubben or kieffer as they don't seem to fit him at all. He has quite a normal wither, takes the medium or medium/wide gullet in the wintec depending on the thickness of pad I use underneath it. He is quite broad along his spine so needs a wide gullet, hence no stubben/kieffer according to the saddler who doesnt do secondhand saddles. So just wondering what everybody else is using, any suggestions would be very welcome!!

If the Wintec styles suit him, how about one of their jumping saddles?? Pick up one s/h on ebay and see how you get on with it??

Please don't buy another wintec on that basis! The Werth saddle is completely different from the other wintec saddles - the tree is a different shape and the panels are totally different. If the IW saddle fits, the wintec 500/2000/pro won't. The Wintec Close Contact (jumping) is a different shape from the others yet again.

if you're looking for a cheap but decent saddle, have a look at the thorowgood saddles - they're a similar shape to the Werth saddles.
