Help!! What size are your breeches??

I only have riding rights and would like to buy some breeches as it's pretty cold up here beyond the wall (!). I think I've measured my waist properly at just under 30" but the breeches surely won't sit that high? So I'm confused.
I'm a UK size ten so she's 30" sound about right? Planning to order online. Thanks

I’m a size 10 and I’ve just ordered some 28” from Hope Valley.

I’m a 12/14 and size 30 usually fits me so I would also say a 28 is more your size.

I'm 14 sometimes 16 and take a size 30 usually. What make are you looking at, people may be able to comment on whether they come up big or small.

A 10 is a 28”, so you’ve ordered the right size!

I always thought a 28” was a 12. I buy 26” and I’m a 10. It does vary slightly between makes but a 26” is definitely the best fit for me.
