The cats have successfully been on royal canin hypoallergenic dry food. We were told if we wanted to change it we have to do so very slowly and carefully due to franks sensitive tummy. It’s also better for Stanley’s itchiness too, although we think there are more than just food allergies at play (tests are ongoing)
Muppet here forgot to order more food, cue panic order last night. But because it’s a vet diet and a weekend it won’t arrive till Monday pm/Tuesday and I can’t find any anywhere else to go and pick up in the meantime.
I can eek out what they have left for a few meals but it won’t be enough to last until then.
What am I best to feed them for a few days that will be least likely to upset franks tummy and drive stanley mad with itching?
I tried tuna (in spring water) just now and Frank promptly threw it all back up ? Stanley however was delighted, think he thought all his christmases had come at once ?
Plain chicken? A different fish (we have hake and basa in the freezer or I can buy a different one) A sensitive tummy/post op type food? Something else?

scrambled egg or maybe baby food from the supermarket. those little jars have quite a few flavours...might be good for mixing with the food you have left..or do you have an animal hospital near you that you could phone to see if they have the specialist food you use and if they would sell you some..must be such a worry for you..

Which one exactly is it Chaps because if I remember rightly its mostly chicken and rice? or am I mistaking that .... I'm not sure but I bet it's not too different from RC's other sensitive type options . Might be worth doing an ingredient comparison with some. Other than that I try never to give tuna as a substitute as it's too rich. Try white fish or boiled chicken.
I'll have a little look on the RC site too. xx

I have just discovered Smilla grain free kitten and it's fantastic.

eta Just had a look on RC and you might be ok on the Digestive Care if that can be bought locally . Can't say for sure as if it's the actual hypoallergenic one you use ,it's got some weird ingredients and looks like it's mostly rice, soya protein , and poultry liver. If it works though ,that is all that counts and I do know what a pain and worry it is when you have specific needs and you run out.

Can you swerve by Pets at home tomorrow? I know our local does RC, obs not the specialist ones from vets but perhaps you can possibly pick up digestive care or similar to mix in for another 24hrs till you can get new stock from vets? No idea which they stock though.
Hope you can get something suitable x

Thanks everyone. I did check to see if any of the local pets at home had anything remotely suitable as n option but seemingly not.
We had success with plain chicken breast.
I panic bought another order to collect from pets at home today incase zoo plus didn’t turn up. Of course they’re both now ready to collect/out for delivery.
mind you I’m not overly sure why I bothered - I turned my back for 2 minutes yesterday and they pulled the quiche off the side and had a good old munch ?
