In a warm up jumping arena how do the riders know which way they may jump the practice fence?

thanks

agree with above but if no one is jumping and there are no markers then some people should "jumping" as they are going to jump and some people shout the type of jump i.e "upright"

Hope that helps

As said in previous posts, red wing or red marker should be on the right.....not that alot of people pay any attention to it. It's great when you are coming into jump & some idiot walks their horse straight across the back of the jump. Some riders have absolutely no idea!

Yeah, please pay attention to which way to jump! Its extremely irritating when the odd person jump the wrong way and bloomin' dangerous too! Although those buggers on foot who watch 'their' rider jump the fence then immediately swarm round the fence putting it up, down, wider etc. without EVEN checking to see if anyone else is approaching or wants to jump it - they are the worst and make me so damn mad!!

Ditto - so RUDE!

Oh and does anyone else shout "JUMPING" any more or is it just me?

Never seen it at BSJA but BE are not quite as bad for it.

Yeah, I never used to say anything but now I usually scream at the top of my lungs "Excuse me, jumping here"! but I make sure its pretty darn load so hopefully they get embarrased. You must have good BSJA where you are, I find BSJA is one of the WORST offenders because there's always a certain 'few' who think they own the place.... and the fences..... and the air around the fences.....!!
