help - white liquid in droppings

My friends pony had a white liquid running through some of his droppings this morning...

Not at all thick like mucus, more like the consistency of milk.

Anyone have any ideas? I've never seen this before

Did you actually see this liquid coming from the pony? Does your friend keep chickens? Sometimes odd things seem to appear in a horse's droppings that panic owners but often it's something added afterwards eg bird droppings on top of the horse's poo. If it was definitely seen coming out of the pony I'd ask her if her pony is on any medication or recently added supplements. If it is, it might be worth ringing the vet if vet prescribed meds or stopping the supplement if a newly added supplement. I wouldn't worry yet if the horse is 100% fine in all other ways, just monitor.
