...slipping round while I'm riding?!

It came with my pony and I've had him about 6 weeks, it only seems to have done this in the last week or two! I've tried tightening the girth and it still does it. He is a native with a very wide flat back, and no withers really!

Is it because I'm riding in a bit of an unbalanced fashion and maybe putting more weight in one stirrup than the other?

Or could it be that he's lost a little bit (a very little bit) of weight and has changed shape slightly?

He seems very comfy in it, it's old and battered but still useable!

Would just like to know if you think it might be me and therefore something I can work on? Or if I might need a new saddle?

Dont know about Leicestershire, but in Hants/Surrey it would be about £50

Good luck, you might just be pulling it over to one side, check your stirrups are the same length etc before panicking!!

I am worried that it's just me riding like a numpty...I did fall off the other day!!! And I may be sitting weirdly due to slipping a disc in my back. hmmm I just don't know!
How do I find a saddle fitter?

It could be me writing this! My saddle also slips to one side. Not saddle. Just bought new Jeffries and had it fitted. Riding for over 40 years. Just bought new horse and I haven't been able to sit centrally since I had him. Keep sitting to the right and have to keep hodging over. I also have a ruptured disc in my lower back. New horse an eventer and always ridden in a breast plate but instructor doesn't seem to think this would help. Went to chiropractor on Friday who said I needed more of a 36,000 mile service than an mot. Told to not ride for four days. Back in the saddle tomorrow so see if any better. Very difficult when you have back problems, but never encountered this before. I also took a friends cob out who could lay a dinner party for six on her back and did the same with her, so obviously me not the horse. Good luck, but maybe have back checked out
