My horse has Windgalls on his fetlock on his hind feet, and advice for getting rid of them??? Any topical ointments or washes I can use or an effective feed powder -but nothing expensive please, my bank account is not blooming!!!!

Windgalls are distensions of the tendon sheaths. There is nothing you can put on them to make them smaller. I did find my horse's reduced significantly when he had his shoes off. Probably the improved circulation and the changes in loading stress across the joint.

Not much you can do bar dont keep stabled for too long or if you have to, stable wraps help, the equilibrium ones are good :) got mine off ebay last year and helped my lad with his front windgalls. After a heavy ride, you can also rinse his legs with water and massage but you'll never get rid :)

My horse has windgalls. They come up more in warm weather and I hardly see them when its cold.

What special considerations to work and workload do you give to a horse with windgalls?

Lots of hard working horses get windgalls. If they are there all the time I wouldn't worry too much. It is regarded as a blemish, not an unsoundness, and some vets would wonder about an older horse that didn't have windgalls. It also depends on the conformation of the horse of course.
