14.1 (ish) coloured gelding by Scotch, Irish showjumper.
Full green Irish passport. Rising 5 years. recently broken, green, quiet pony. Will be professionally schooled over the next few weeks. I would say he is nicely marked but I'm into showjumping not showing and I don't have any pictures to post. What sort of price should I advertise him at and what sort of price could I realistically expect?
Many thanks for your advice.

Edited to try and include photo of very similar pony....

Not sure of breeding and how it affects price as we're trying to keep under £3k so only been keeping an eye on the cheaper end of the market, and I must confess I've not heard of Scotch but then again we're not into it competitively, as daughter just getting to the point of needing something bigger so her feet don't touch the poles!

However he sounds as though he should be well bred for the job, so I know these sorts of ponies seem to be advertised about £2500-3500 upwards depending what the breeding offers in potential so someone more qualified could answer that more specifically eg the dapple grey ----> is £2950 and of similar type that could show or jump but no specifics of the breeding/potential for it to be more expensive, I would say that's a typical example of the ones my daughter has printed out. I think Horsequest has nice ads for the more expensive type with good breeding for the job, so maybe look on there?

We've not actually been to look at any yet, just an eye on the price, but I am not sure that they're selling that fast despite that size being popular as some have been around for several weeks or readvertised at a lower price a few weeks later, however it is the coloureds that seem to be sold more quickly. If you're stuck to home him you could always give him to my daughter?

Thanks. I have had a look at Horsequest and Horsemart and the prices are so varied! If it jumps like the one pictured we brought over last month, he will fetch good money as she has been out show jumping three times, total of 6 classes and been placed 5 times out of six! 85cms, 90cms and 95cms.
Hopefully, this one will be the same!!!
I was thinking about the £3000- £4000 mark?
