I can't believe you are being slated for not moving to DIY when all you asked for was some other options to help your mare!. And the poster who suggested you were too lazy was uneccesarily rude.
A week isn't a long time so I would give her a little longer to see if she starts to settle. The idea of a net while she is waiting is a good one too. I was going to suggest she goes out first and has breakfast in the field but that obviously won't work. It also sounds like she is reacting to the other people coming up before staff as well so might take a little longer for her to understand she has to ignore them.
If she really can't settle and would be better going out - could you swap her routine round? so, have her out at night and in during the day? That way she gets longer out, would not have to wait, will still get her 2 feeds a day and you could simply ask the staff to leave her in when you want to ride after work. We have done that at our yard for some previous liveries where the horses really needed longer without being out 24 x 7. Granted they were rugged to the eyeballs as were in full work and fully clipped but it did work. I would recommend one of the highly naf looking hats which have leds in the brim. They light up a long way ahead so brilliant for walking in the dark and don't spook the horses. I had the mickey taken big time until I had to put it to use and now everyone wants one!
