Im trying to write an advert for my horse for someone to help me out with him whilst im at university.
In short I want to say he needs a confident rider.
This isnt because he's nasty or anything he just works better with someone confident. He does need reassuring (though as i have said he doesnt do anything just likes to know your there) I had one girl helping me who was nervous and he senses it and tenses up which makes the rider even more nervous and the cycle continues.

How do i say this in an advert without putting anyone off as he is a star! Hes just had 6 months off as i was traveling Australia and the girls who were riding him didnt get his back looked at after riding for a while in a saddle that didnt fit properly. So after 2 physio sessions and saddle fitter i was back on board and on his 1st hack (and all after!) he didnt put a foot wrong and first schooling sessions hes been better than ever! (hes a TB so was expecting a bit of excitment about being out and about!)

thanks for reading, and help appreciated

I would say exactly that, confident/experiencedrider required/needed/, then when people ring etc you can explain in more detail and hopefully wittle out anyone unsuitable...

It should be enough for you just to state his breed, I'm not saying TBs are bad (I have one and am a big fan) just that if I was a novice or nervous I wouldn't be looking at one. However maybe something like 'Name excels with a confident rider' or 'With a confident rider, Name is a easy and striaghtforward ride...'

I don't like the word confident. Or experienced. I would say, Competant rider, could go far in the right hands, sumat like that. That way it sounds like you're looking for a decent rider because you want a good jockey and not ebcause he's naughty.
