Help with finding right bit please

I have a client who i teach on her lovely middleweight hunter type horse, she has had him about a year now and he really is perfect for her but we are having a hard time finding the right bit for him. He never seems relaxed in his mouth, and sets on the hand and becomes quite heavy,have tried nearly every bit i can think of with flash and without, he is the same whether he is in a snaffle or a pelham, there is no real difference. Have noticed that he rolls his tongue back (sometimes gets it over the bit) and holds it there, he is obviously not comfortable but never makes a big fuss just doesn't feel quite right. Any ideas gratefuly received!!

Try a Myler

I would recomend a Myler. It made the world of difference to my horse due to the fact it is shaped to the mouth and tongue. More expensive but worth it if you can try one first.

tried a myler ported comfort snaffle for my boy he has a large tongue and the shape allows room for it we have never looked back
