Help with Horse Passport!! Long story I'm afraid.....

My mum bought an exracing TB last June called Tap. He was previously trained by a guy called Ian Emmerson who is the most elusive guy ever!! Problem is, Tap had been dorment in a field for 5 years before my mum bought him and the guy she bought him off doesn't have his passport, this Ian Emmerson guy still has it. I keep saying we should g et hold of it as my mum paid £1000 for Tap and legally, I suppose he's not hers and I thin she'd die if someone took him away from her!! I would too!

Cut a very long story short, does anyone now this Ian Emmerson guy or have any idea where we could get this passport, if he still has one?

Passport does not prove onwership, so dont worry.
If you bought him and have a reciept. The man who sold him could be in trouble though.
Wetherby's will have his record.
You will be able to get his racing record, ask them is ots possible to get a replacement passport for his lost one.

You'll probably find he is microchipped as after a certain year all TBs were. I'm not too sure when that was though. If he has a chip it should be easy to get a duplicate passport from Wetherbys, they are really helpful I have found.

We've found his racing record (bless him, he's won 17k!) and we know we can get a replacement from wetherby's, it's just out of priniciple that I don't think my mum should have t pay for it as it wasn't her who lost it. Never mind, think thats the root we're gonna go down anyway.
