Posted this in new lounge last night. I have a mare that i rescued last year in an appauling state, she has a freezemark under her mane about half way up starting in DK and 5 numbers the 0 could be letter o. My dentist thinks she may be from Denmark and has not seen a freezemark like this before. Checked on farmkey and freezemark they only use 4 digit markings. Tried to see if it is a postcode, doesn't exsist. One user in new lounge thought it may be a stud mark. I know nothing about her only that she was used as a broodmare to produce coloureds and owned by a very rough lot. I think she is arab x, very fine, and she now has a pelvic problem. If she has come in from abroad then it is heartbreaking she ended up like she did (have photos but they are shocking) anyone with any ideas about the freezemark?

Danish Arabs were freezemarked between 1985-1998.
In Scandinavia it is quite common to freezemark certain breeds under the name with a registration number.
Information about them DSAH
