i am going jumping tonight at a local indoor, and i have never jumped my horse indoor before!

i am used to jumping indoors with my pony, yet the horse is much bigger!

any tips on how to jump indoors?

TBH its a bit late for tips... the best thing would have been practice beforehand!

I guess just allow time for your horse to react and absorb the different atmosphere. Remember that the noises indoors are very different, and take into account the shadows that will be cast by the lights as you walk the course. Good luck!

Try and keep the rev's up (if that makes sense).
Lots of horses slow down a bit inside, which makes it harder to jump a nice round.
I find that indoors - the warmup is the biggest problem, too many horses and not enough space. If you survive that, then jumping a couple of rounds will be fine.
Good luck!

thanks!
i know its a bit late but every little helps! lol

the indoor closest to us is always booked up, and we are still jumping outside in the fields( this is a luxury - we have never ridden on perfect ground in the field in november

the warm - up was titchy on the pony... and of course my horse likes to buck when in public... this could be interesting!
