All the geldings on the livery yard had to stay in last night and today as there was an open day for the cross country course. This morning I left my 3 year old with a full haynet. When I got to the yard tonight there was no haynet and no haylage in his stable. I found it on someones haynet pile but hidden at the bottom. It was still virtually full.
I asked around and apparently the lady thought it was her and so took it back (a ten year old child told me this!)
I have only been at this yard 3 weeks so why would I steal someones haynet and then flaunt it?
I am seriously annoyed, mainly, because he was left without hay for the whole day but also that someone entered my stable with my horse in it and basically stole my haynet!
The lady in question was not there tonight and I don't see her very often as her 15 year old daughter attends to the horses so I am unsure as what to do?
Should I write her a letter? Ring her? I told the yard owner but I get the feeling she doesn't want to get involved.
Any thoughts much appreciated!
