Help with livery yards in North Essex

I am totally new to the forum and the horsey world so a big hello and thanks in advance.

In an ideal world I am looking for an establishment with a riding school attached with some sort of livery that can turn in and out for me (due to school runs) and offer full livery when required (ie holidays and if my daughter is ill). I am happy to go full livery as long as they don't mind me getting involved with my ponies (we have 2), can support us on the ground (help build our confidence), allow a trainer to come in (if no riding school). They must also have a floodlit school with safe hacking nearby. Preferably as close to Braintree as possible.

I have thought about stable management courses???? or volunteering as I also want to learn horse behaviour but don’t want to help and ending up just mucking out all the time! Suggestions???

Have you looked at Braintree Equestrian Centre? I think they've only started as a RS fairly recently but having had a look at their Facebook page appear to have facilities that you require and the horses and ponies look well looked after? Not sure if they do liveries but maybe worth checking out?
 
Hi! nice to met another newbie! :)

I have!!!........love it down there, but they don't do livery. :( I am currently doing my best to twist the owners arm and make an exception. :D That yard with livery would be perfect and that is half my problem. lol
 
theres claypits farm at earls colne which has indoor school too or used be livery at home farm in greensted green.maybe call local tack shops for ideas.
 
had thought of Rayne as that is where I learn't. They do full livery only and have great facilities and hacking BUT they are too good :mad: I would never really get the chance to use the school as it is so popular and busy.

would have loved to have bought from Carolyn but they kept putting me off until I had a few more hours in the saddle and knew what I wanted and in all fairness probably didn't have anything suitable for me......couldn't wait though (typical of me) :rolleyes: I still have lessons there though as I feel very comfortable there.
 
Really wouldnt recommend the Cressing yard.
The lady that runs Elite equestrian is a forum member, cant remember her user name, maybe try searching it in the search box.

Thanks! going to visit them Monday anyway but it is always nice to have recommendations. x
 
I used to work at Elite Equestrian, its a nice well run yard with fantastic facilities. Claire is an excellent, if scary instructor!
 
if you work earls colne way maybe pop in to see harriett at Broomfield farm shop. she will know all the local yards.
