help with mane problem

ok well i have been asked to ride frankie at a local show in two weeks time

i am a bit scared because im crap when people watch me, but hey, i might just do some good with him - ill never know until i try!

anyway he has quite a decent mane - until you get about 10 inches up from his withers. he has barely any mane! i think he must've rubbed it in the winter, but it hasn't grown back properly. i can barely get one plait out of 3 inches of mane.

any ideas peeps??

if you are pulling the bit he has save the hair and sew the sections/strands to a thin bit of tape and sew this under the bit of mane he does have as a hair extension. if you do it right the tape is hidden but try it
