Help with naughty horse

and if all else fails you could still send her to potters/turners or call the huntsman out, give her some more oats you will get more for her then per kg, good luck, lol

And make sure you dont turn her out, dont want her dropping any weight, :)

And is a barley not more fattening?

Another plus side to not turning her out is that you could take her shoes off and spend the money saved on shoes into pumping even more food into her, Bingo:D

Schooling is so boring for a horse though, my horse hates it so I don't really do it. She refuses to go in the school so I respect her wishes in that department.

Then you need to gallop her, as much as possible .... all over the place - everywhere you go, for at least an hour or two a day, then, when she is knackered, she won't be naughty ... oh and don't forget the standing martingale and draw reins .... and make sure her saddle doesn't fit too ...... don't spoil her :) cheeky mare

Why do I get the uneasy feeling you are ridiculing me?

we are not ridiculing you, we are giving you the best advice there is for free on the market, otherwise you could go out and buy a book and read it and absorb the information that it is giving you and then apply all of that to your naughty horse, but if that fails there are 1000's looking for a good home and you could certainly offer one just chuck this one out and go get another, keep trying.

What, tie an actual person to her head? She has a tendency to rear, would that not be a bit dangerous?

it will be fine, just make sure said person has a hat on. its the latest in way to cure a rearer.. bit like the old days of smashing an egg over their heads.;)

Someone else mentioned cracking an egg on her head, but I think that seems a bit cruel, so last time she reared I denied her access to her parelli ball for the whole day. I think she learnt her lesson - she was certainly angry as she refused to eat her toffees.

No, but I also left her in her stable with no food or water for the weekend, and I had very stern words with her too. I really do believe she was sorry.

sounds like she chucked her parelli toys out of the pram. deffiantley try the human attached to her head. or if possible maybe a small quad bike.

preferably with a bucket on the front to swipe the mare on the back of her head..should drop then..pretty quickly..or does that mean she's dead?....oh well, you'll just have to work out the velocity yourself, OP

Ii like your thinking NP... the new parelli carrot stick.
