do trizone boots come up large?

my last horse, 15hh connie x tb was in med or cob size boots all round.

my new horse, 16hh ISH doesnt have a huge amount of bone and i ordered medium tri zone allsports boots for him, for day to day use -

i think they look ok on his hinds... but i might still have to trim the velcro

but on his fronts - im thinking im going to have to change them for smalls. what do you think?

i was going to be ordering full size travel boots for him, but now im thinking prob cob would be better?

thank you in advance :)

Hmm, tricky to say from the photo. I would say the hinds are a bit short for him as they look like they could be pushed down a bit further (same with the fronts) but that could just be the photo.

TBH I couldn't get the blooming things to fit my horse either! The hinds were too short and the fronts were too wide round her leg :(

I too would say they all need pulling down a bit more, i wouldn't say front were too big, bit need pulling down and it is hard to judge from piccie :)

ahh, bugger, ok will try them again and pull them down a bit. the front ones are done up as tight as i get get them to go in the pic, but they still seem loose ?

The problem is that the smalls might be too short even if they fit better round the leg. Personally if I'm putting boots on my horse I want them to cover the whole area which is why I gave up with trying to get trizone boots to fit her ;)

arrrgh - dont say that, lol. ive spent weeks deliberating over the perfect, aircooled, lightweight, allround boot for hacking/lunging etc. booooooo.

Sorry, I was gutted too! Really liked the look of them as well because the binding on most boots rubs my mare but they didn't look like they would rub. I was pretty sad to admit defeat and send them back :D I've settled for bog standard neoprene for hacking and using my competition boots (dalmars) for fast work.

thank you milliepops- didnt mean to sound ungrateful for the advice... am just having a 'bang head off wall' moment:o

did you try the NEW ones at all? they are similar...

No prob :) It's irritating when you think you have what you want but it's not quite right.

Nope, didn't look at the NEW boots. My mare has NEW tendon boots though which I've been pleased with. I think her fronts are medium size and they fit lovely.
