We have a lovely 4 yr old WB by United, out of a Rubenstein mare.
She is very sharp and can only be used as a brood mare following an accident as a yearling. She has a foal at foot at present by Sandro Sun, but we would like to go with something more commercial for her next foal. Have been looking at Danciano, Sir Donnerhall and Furstenball. The foal will probably be sold, so something that will sell. Help !

UK based stallions to consider.
Garuda K
Treliver Decanter
Flammengold

Would avoid Sandro Hit lines in terms of temperament as they tend to be quite sharp.
Bellissimo M is really producing the goods and his offspring are commercially attractive.

Thanks, that info is very helpful, Bellisimo M is lovely , hadn't thought of him. Was leaning to Diamond Hit and also Sezuan, but got a bit concerned about the dreaded OCD. Back to the drawing board !

will follow this thread with interest as looking for a dressage WB stallion for my KWPN mare (although I will be keeping the foal). I am leaning towards Negro or Metall.

Have a look at the Flemmingh son Mooiman. Competed to international GP I have bred three by him out of my advanced mare. Still got two. He is by Flemmingh and was ranked in the top 10 kwpn dressage stallions for progeny performance last year.
First one on her first ever outing. She was reserve champion at her foal keuring

Number 2 - he is entire and will go forward for grading when he's ready. He was hacking out happily with a mare within 2 weeks of being backed last autumn. First pic is at three weeks under saddle. Second at an in hand show last year

This was the 3rd one. Sadly lost her to colitis complications at 9 weeks old. https://db.tt/f5Eg31WH

I didn't suggest him for OP as her mare's sire is by Krack C another Flemmingh son.

Good luck ! When are you hoping to put her in foal ? Have you seen Netto , Negro's son ? Lovely !

Oh, Netto is very nice! I had had a quick look at him but hadn't investigated further, I will now.
I was hoping to breed my mare this year. She is in her second season of the year so really need to choose the stallion now. I quite like Diamond hit too.

Thank you, your youngsters are really nice! I don't know if Mooiman would suit my mare. She has bags of trot (harness horse lines) but needs a stallion that will specifically improve the canter, that's why I am very interested in the Ferro lines. I like a hot horse too (will probably regret saying that as mare is hot and sharp so will perhaps be seating on a ticking time bomb in 5 years!).

I think the OP was wanting a commercial dressage horse

Didn't see the Dressage bit in the post, Even so I would still put Springfield Symphony forward for this mare. Why?

- His temperament is ideally suited for the Hotter type mare - we have had ones that were completely bonkers and the young stock have turned out great, sensible and trainable.
- His own movement would not be missed out of the DR ring. In his very limited 3 dressage competitions he achieved two first places and a second place with eventers riding him.
- All of his progeny are showing excellent movement, the one 4yo on his first competition a few weeks ago scored an amazing 88.4

You are welcome to come and see Spring or any of his youngsters.

Good luck in your search

Rousseau is very commercially attractive, particularly if you get a colt as he has produced several stallion sons. IIRC he got the KWPN grading champion three years on the trot.
Can be quite hot although Ampere (one of the sons) seems to produce a more level head.

Also Charmeur (Florencio x Jazz) again risk of getting hot from the Jazz lines but the Florencio's are very trainable.

I do like him, he is on my list, which is supposed to be getting shorter and I keep adding to it ! Love Fifty Fifty, wish he was standing, but apparently not yet. I have about four days to decide for getting time right for mare !

i like treliver decanter a lot.
holme park trakehners also have a couple of lovely stallions. kobalt is only due his first offspring this season but legend's are v nice.

Thanks everyone for all the imput , have chosen Danciano , a little bit of a gamble but his foals so far this year are to die for ! Fingers crossed now for the next stage !
