Help with survey please - What are the basic essentials for a coach/trainer?

I would really appreciate your help with a survey for my equine degree. I'm investigating what people think are the basic essentials you look for in a coach.

I would appreciate people using the voting options but also an open discussion.

Ditto PaddyMonty. I also look for someone who can meet my needs, not try to turn me into something I'm not, and also someone who my horse and I can get along with.

As PaddyMonty says they must be proven and have a good bedside manner!!!!

but as the old saying goes those that can do and those that cant teach all be it badly!!!!
