I bought a 6 month old filly foal 2 weeks ago and i cant get near her!!
She has a headcollar on and has been in a stable, in a small field on her own and is now in a large field with another foal and 5 other older horses that are easy to catch.
I have spent at least 2 hours a day with her just sitting in the field letting her sniff me.
When i go into the field she comes to me with her ears pricked and sniffs me, then puts her ears flat back and tries to attack me!!
I can hand feed her carrots and shes fine until they run out!!
Today the other foal came to me and let me stroke it and my foal attacked it, then turned to me with her ears pricked so i went to touch her and she attacked me!!
I am experienced with horses but not foals and was hoping to do parelli with her but I cannot get near her, i cant even clip a lead rope on her to show her that im not the big bad wolf she thinks i am.
Any suggestions????
