I have a lovely sect c gelding.....one of his downsides happens to be his amazingly, thick, unruly bog brush of a mane!!!
He has a whorl 1/2 way up......the lower half is very thin, very well mannered and dutifully sticks to it's own side The top half is incredibly thick, extremely rude and refuses implicitly to stick to one side!!
Now I consider myself a reasonably able equine hairdresser/beauty therapist
....never had a problem with pulling manes or tails in the past, but this little chap is causing me some concern. I guess some would say he is a native let him remain natural, but unfortunately I prefer a pulled look.
Anyway, as underneath pulled bits are growing they then push the top longer hair over to the left.....I have tried plaiting.....but doesn't seem to work. Any other ideas???
