Help!!!

Hi all, not entirely sure if this is the right place to put this but please forgive me if not

My horse has a large crack about the length between your knuckle and tip of your finger on her hoof. It is VERY deep and I am at a loss as to what to do about it..

So:

1. How urgently do I need to call the farrier??
2. Can I do anything about it in the mean time??
3 Can I still ride with it??

you need to call your farrier asap i would of thought.

But then it would depend where it is on the hoof as you would not want it to reach the cornetband.
