Got my new horse on Thursday and I am over the moon with her and have enjoyed a few days playing around.
But as it is pouring with rain today I thought it was a good time to sort out her passport and now I am more than a little confused.
She was imported over 18 months ago and her passport is issued by the Irish cob society Nederland. It has very little detail in it, and the ID picture page has no marks or colouring on it. I asked a friend (vet) who is Dutch if this is ok, she said yes as they use microchips rather than passports for ID and all her details are stored on that.
Also the person who imported her has never registered her so I will be her first registered keeper.
But my question is, who do I contact to change of owner? will she even be registered as being in this country? (in Scotland if it makes a difference) Do I have to contact the issuing authority and defra?
I hope this makes sense as I am rambling in my own confusion!
Any help would be fantastic x
