HELP!!!!!

Ok my sister is havinga total panic attck because she accidentally let her horse take a huge mouthful of stale happy hoof chaff now she wants to no whether this will cause her any discomfort colic or tummy ache or anything?

Please guys help me ASAP!

I doubt a mouthful will do anything to him. Being chaff it would just not taste very nice, it shouldn't do him any harm. He'd have to eat a whole bag to make him ill.

He doesn't sound as though she ate alot and it isn't like she ate dried sugarbeet. I wouldn't worry too much, quite a few people change their feed without introducing it first and their horses have been fine so I doubt she will develop colic from one mouthfull of feed

Don't worry, it may have been stale but if there was anything wrong with it the horse would probably not have eaten it. Just a mouthful should not do any harm.

What do you mean by stale? Past its date/funny smelling/furry?
