Ohhh how nice to have a lie in - got up at 9am and pootled around until getting ready at 12 - perfect!!! Henbury isn't too far away either so also nice not to drive miles too. There were just 2 novice sections today right at the end of the lovely sunny day.

Managed to improve on Oasby's v full of himself bucking through the dressage to only have one attempt at a buck in the first canter which then made it quite tense but overall trot was fab and canter will get there when we lose the rodeo and he got 37, which was good for the section, think the leader was about 30.

SJ - Always up to height and well built at Henbury. Least said the better, poles kept falling which is v v unlike him these days, had a lesson with a different, v well known SJer a few weeks ago and he's really upset our jumping and i thought we'd sorted it going back to original and brilliant instructor but seemingly it came back to haunt us - off to jump some newcomers tomorrow though!!

XC - I love henbury, perfect going on perfect parkland, quite a chunky course but not too technical and he was a real cocky little monkey! Flew round clear, got lots of time penalties, people always do at Henbury but i thought i went a bit quicker for me, obviously not!!

So no rosettes and more SJ tomorrow but his XC did nearly makeup for the horrendous jumping!!

Pic was from the 2nd water, he just jumped!! Hence me not smiling and sitting back!!!

Shame about the SJ, he is normally so good. Hope he's behaving today......

LOVELY picture. Can't imagine what my expression would be jumping into water over that brush, but you looked v "normal".
Hope your SJing goes well.

Fiona

SJ much better today thank you had 2 down in the newcomers, 1 my fault, 1 unlucky then 1 down in the 1.15 practice practice practice!!!
