Dare I say it he seems very much better today!
(scared to tempt fate)
I fed him at 12 pm last night and decided to allow him to go through the night without any extra milk, and this morning he is eating alfa A hungrily. He is drinking from his dam tho she is a bargy madam and he has to follow her round the box unless we hold her at times, but he is much much brighter.
If he continues to thrive the port in his neck can be removed tomorrow, but it's a long road back to normal weight and health I'm afraid.
I had a whole night's sleep but woke wide awake at 3 am on the dot..Grrrrr.
It's chcuking it down here now too so he can't go out today, but will go in his little hospital box for some peaceful feeding without his Mum pinching most of it. I have three supplies of feed in their stable as she eats such a lot, but he is learning to move to the next bucket when she eats.
I feel the improvement is mostly due to my vet being so damned determined he would survive, I feel incredibly privileged to have such a dedicated man available.
He has phoned, called in, come at a minute's notice this last week, and been a tower of strength.
And of course the massive rush of good wishes and prayers from on here, I knew they could help..

yes please pm me, and you must come and stay soon (I've cleaned the annexe so it's ready once my son and his girlfriend go back to Czech Republic)
I'm having some time off (Macro and the acupuncurist) today so CCJ will be coping.
 
I am so, so pleased to see that the little chap is slowly improving and I do send my strongest wishes that it continues. I am also pleased to see you are taking some time off - you deserve it. I will watch for news. x

Yes I really want to come and visit again. Im back to work full time next week i think tho

However, I WILL make the point in coming to visit for a long weekend again before the horses are in at night.

That's great to hear, HH, I have been thinking of all of you.

And hopefully you will have a chance to have a break soon, you sound like you need a holiday!
