Herbie yesterday. I think i lost the plot.

Well he was a little monkey to bring in. He desided the water trough contained a tiger and he had to run circles round me to try to get away. I got him in to the yard and tied him to the fence and he was still being stupid he broke two bits of string. I tacked him up and took him in the school to lunge. He was a prat to begin with and kept changing direction and walking twords me. But in the end he went prity well esp as there was a dog running round the school. We did walk, trot and canter and i got him to walk all the way round the outside of the school. He was prity tired as he hasn't been ridden for atleast a month. Anyway i had a moment of madness and did probably one of the most stupid things i have ever done, I desided to get on :eek: so i made the lunge line into a pair of reins and got on him. Well he was a star we walked a few circles and then walked large round the school. :D
I got off then desided i wanted a video so i put the camera on the gate post and got on him again :eek: He was ok bless him. We do have a small discution the first time i dissapear from view but he wasn't naughty and he walked on when i asked him to. :D Heres the video. Oh and no prizes for pointing out the bleeding obvious :p I know what i'm doing and i wasn't ristricting him in any way. :)

I showed the vid to my OH last night and he just said "So you've ridden him before" He just doesn't get it bless him. I'm so :D:D:D:D:D and just had to share Herbs first ride in the school.

He looks a really lovely pony. My daughter says can she have him please?? Glad everything is going reasonably smoothly after the move.
 
Must of been a day for pony eatting things, as my lad thought the 2 goats that were tied in someones gargen would eat him!! (Ok the gaarden is higher than his head so they could jump on him, in his eyes.)

Herbies looking really good. Bet he's one of those ponies that when people are looking he behaves bill, as soon as they look away he's a little pain!! Well done Laura
 
Mickle She wouldn't want him if she realy knew him ;) Esp when he lives up to his name Horrid Herbie :p But thankyou he is slowly becoming the sweet pony i knew he could be. :D

Thankyou picolenicole goats are very very scary. They are the only thing Lucy was ever scared of. There was one on a hack we used to do and it once took us an hour to get passed it. :rolleyes: I even used to hack her passed the lion pens at Marwell Zoo and she didn't care about them. :D:D and your right he is going to be one of those who behave when someones looking. He desided to have his little paddy about me riding him off camera LOL not that it was a bad paddy he just stoped and refused to move. Much better than all that bucking, rearing, leaping and spinning anyday. :p :D :D
 
LOL thanks sunshine19. Horrid deff lives up to his name. Not entirely his fault though bless him after the time he's had :( But he is getting better all the time.
I bet Scruffy Pete was a cute pony :D:D

Scruffy Pete was very cute, 12 hands high & 13 hands wide! He had the biggest and thickest mane I have ever see. No matter how much water and brushing, it would never lie flat, lol:D
 
Thanks LOL sunshine19 that sounds like Lucys mane hence why she was hogged It just all stood up on end and would not lie flat. Herbs is only about 12.2hh but is currently as wide as a bus. :(

thanks MochaDun I think he was very pleased with himself bless him. :D and on the way out he even drank from the scary trough silly boy :rolleyes::p:D
