Hi, I'm constantly seeing people talking about picking herbs and all sorts of plants which are apparently good for the horses, so which ones are there? So far I know of:

Cow Parsley
Nettles
Chaste Berry

Anyone else know of things to pick and give them occasionally?:)

I don't know much about the seasonal herbs and plants as I just let Obi browse the hedgerow and pick out his own.

He can identify what he likes much better than I can

Dandelion, clivers/cleavers, mint, hawthorn, marigold, rosehips, meadow sweet are common ones.

Mine are loving Willow herb at the moment.

I do buy dried herbs for him and use them therapeutically also.

You can use these for more info

I buy all my herbs from here

My mare is very fond of Hawthorn, she likes the young shoots in spring/summer and the hawthorn berries in Autumn. I believe it is good for the heart and is thought to benefit horses with arthritis, navicular and laminitis.
