Here is my 'how much'?

"Our girl is rising 6, a mare and hasd excellent breeding, and I had no response at £2500 ono, we would have gone down to £2000"

even for your mare (who sounds nice) that is quite a lot of money. my sister's horse (who is the envy of our instructor!

) is a 12 yo ISH, perfect to hack, honest jumper, novice or experienced ride, highly trained in dressage, schoolmaster and so on... we only paid 2200!

i think horsie prices are too high at the moment, and that might be why they're not selling...

Why do you think he sounds dangerous? he kicked her once out of fear - that to me is not a dangerous horse, its an accident?

I think the temptation with project horse is to focus on their problems rather than their positives, and that people will often just see a catalogue of issues. I would take out all the info about barefoot and bitless, if that stuff isn't necessary for him - it makes him seem more problematic than he is.

I'd advertise him as a happy hacker, who has hunted and xc'd in the past but who needs a sensitive and confident rider as he's got a nervous disposition. I would play down his "problems" - none of them are that bad but can be offputting when you see too many in one advert.

I would also drop the price, I think something more like £1000 is a fairer price for him.

Thank you for the positive comments

I am in the process of changing the amount and have added a few further comments about the whole bitless and treeless thing.

He isn't dangerous - it was an accident, an unfortunate accident.

he is a nervy TB thats all!!

the only other thing I'd add is that the advert is quite aggressive, onlycall if you are the right person etc. and it would put me off calling.

I don't blame your horse for kicking you - it was just an accident. My dads old horse was a really kind horse but they had a similar accident to yours in the horse box and he completely trampled dad and he nearly had to have his kidney removed!

Can i ask what it actually is that he does wrong? what makes him so "nervy"?? I'm wondering if he's not actually that bad and it's just because you are really nervous?
