We have a choc lab (Molly) nearly 2 years old, and think she is about to hit another broody patch!
The last time she went through this she would sneak into the kids bedroom and nick a few of the kids cuddly toys to nest underneath her. :-D
She also tries to do this to my 15 year old cat who is very timid and has to run away from her!! lol
 
My dog 'nested' and mothered two pairs of balled up tights. Nearly lost her, needed a hysterectomy, and of course, removal of tights from her intestines...cute as it is, your girl sounds like a prime candidate for a phantom!
 
We have not had her done as we are thinking about breeding her once then having the op done.
She is just due her season but the tell tale sign is with her raiding the kids room for soft toys, bless her. :-D

Well if you are going to breed her it would be a good idea to have her hips and elbows x-rayed and scored under the BVA and only then breed if they have a good score - insist that the sire has this test as well. Labs, like my breed, can be prone to hip and elbow dysplasia and breeding from animals with low scores can help minimise the heartache that these conditions can cause :)

Don`t forget the BVA eye certificate too CC!!:D
