It was amazing! I jumped off my sledge half way because I was going to fast so slid the rest of the way on my bum! I'll see if I can find the video (warning it contains a lot of screaming and the repition of the phrase "I'm going to f-ing die" haha :p

That's mild compared to what i would be screaming!!! ;)

Yes, find the video!

(Ha, i'm such a kid!! :D)

Can you ride in snow? Just wondering, as if you can I want to, have had snow for 4 days already! :P

It's your call really. I never do as my horses are shod and their feet snowball. I also worry about the ground underneath and them doing an injury, so IMO, for the sake of a few weeks off, it's not worth it.

But that's just my thoughts on it. :)

its personal choice i never have but as soon as snow comes i am tempted to :D i would be very careful if your horses are shod as snow packs in feet but lots of Vaseline and hoof oil helps and i mean lots and lots :p but personally i would only walk, if you do get some pics :)

It was insane, but I highly recommend that people do not try it, I honestly thought I was going to die!! :p

They don't! They fall down it :p Have you ever watched it? If not its brilliant to watch soo funny, especially when you get the wimps who go down on their bums! :p

haha oh yeah :p i have seen clips of it, i know you get the odd person that hurts themselves. I think i would close my eyes and go down on my bum and hope i make it down :p

Oh no, snow + rear wheel drive sports car (I know, I couldn't be less practical for horsiness!) = high chance of skidding and crashing! I lost it round a roundabout the other night, just didn't see the ice, luckily no car behind me as went sideways round past the exit I was trying to take!!

Never been sledding on coopers hill but tried some of the steep bits of cleeve, so much fun, looks like a proper ski resort up there with all the cars and people all over the snowy hill! Funnily enough, most of the people up there prob couldn't make the drive to work but could make it up a v steep, prob ungritted hill to play in the snow hahaha

 Hope you ok. hehe would love to go sledging down some proper hills nothing to steep but steep enough to get some speed :p

Oh please have lots of snow in Gloucester especially around the area of Hartpury and then they'll shut the college...I have a 3rd year oral exam on Weds and im really not prepared for it :( i've been distracted by horses and work.oops.

Hate to disillusion you all kids, but there is only light snow forecast for 3am and the west midlands continue to miss everything everywhere else is getting :D

You at Hartpury College??? haha know what you mean. Orals are the worst :(

Yes i am unfortunately, I hate the place.
In my last year now, I commute up there from Somerset.
Last year the snow cancelled our exams. I drove all the way there for them to then cancel the exam!
Useless college.

Are you there too?

Ohhh Mum!!!! :( :( :D

Actuallly, on a few different weather forecasts they do say it starts at 3am (which originally they were saying 6am) and goes on until 12midday-ish and it will settle and we'll have 2-3inches. Suppose it depends if you're on high or low ground etc...

Ah you see I am near Newent so it only lasts from 3am to 6am apparently? Well, there have to be some plus points of being near Newent I suppose....:p

With all the different hills/valleys/mountains etc round this county (and surrounding nearby counties), you can be lucky or not with the weather... we just expect to get it bad around here up this big them there big hill!! :D I've given up now, what will be will be, nought i can do about it! ;)
