I have run out of ideas when it comes to what I can do with my horses in this weather, they have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and I have become expert at getting my mucking out routine down to a fine art (35mins for 2 boxes, hay nets and water is my current personal best!) :)

So I decided to film them and make a little festive video, they are loving frolicking in the snow and I managed to capture some of their high jinks on film!

Sooooo takes your seats please, the trailers are about to roll.....

I suppose you would like pop corn and pic n' mix?... but sadly all I can offer is crisps and dips and the choc out of my advent calendar :)

Enjoy :) :) :)

Brilliant film Chloe! Loved the bit where they'd been doing synchronised rearing then stopped and looked at the camera as if to say "what - us - naughty? - never!!"

Soooooo glad we haven't got any snow this time (yet!) - although everything is still rock hard and icy! :(

thanks 4 cherring me up. enjoyed ure video. made up 4 missing the world cup from olympia (left recorder on to catch end whilst finishing horses off and returned to find power cut had spoilt my evening) never mind hopefully will see AP win SPOTY,

Yep (yippee!) - there seems to be a small 'hole' in the middle of the country which hasn't had anything. We're near Lincoln - but we do feel we did our bit during the last dumping as we had about 3ft and were snowed into our house (literally) for 3 days. Yeah yeah Scottish peeps - we know you've got it worse :p

Still can't ride as the roads are lethal and the school's frozen so it's the same difference really!

What a flattering snapshot of Claire Balding at the end there :D

Would it make you all sick to know that we have no snow, the roads are clear and come the end of the week we should have a 60X40 area freshly installed, so dry as a bone and unfrozen?? :p

Don't worry, we're forecast snow all week  :D And I'm sick of lugging milk churns full of water and haylage up the fields at work, for the grotty little ponies that make my teaching life hell!
However I'm still loving running around after my own little hairy beasts :D :p

Great self entertainers!! Lovely looking Hot Choc too.

Umm but what is wrong with The Snowman? :D

aawww nothing wrong with 'the' or snowmen in general ;)

I have discovered THE BEST way to make hot choc, buy the cadburys drinking choc, milk in mug, mug in microwave for 3mins, 2 spoonfulls of powder, stir, no lumps just lovely latte looking hotty choc! :):):):)

so much nicer than all those 'add water' types

YES, YES that does make me sick! I'm very jealous, so bored of not riding now and can't even go for a run either as will no doubt land on my ars*! where about's in limbo do you live, if it's under 30mins I trailer them over tonight ;)

Right at the top of Leicestershire :p

I've not ridden properly in more than a year now (not counting the odd hack and hopping on naughty horses for five minutes!), so I'm used to that! But I get to play breaking in ponies nowadays, so at least the lack of snow means I can carry on with that :D

Great video made me laugh thank you!

Am stuck with no riding too coz of the stupid snow and frozen ground and desperately need to get some SJ practice in ready for doing some BE next year (fingers crossed!)
