Here's what I did this weekend (pics included!)...

For the past two weeks m and the hubby have been cleaning up two stables which are a twenty second walk from my front door:

We picked up Silver Flint from the dealer, we've got him for my husband (the delicate looking soul in the picture too):

Then we went to pick Lily up from the yard she has been on since I got her two months ago. This is Lily:

We got them back late Saturday afternoon, let them see each other over the stable doors, then on Sunday morning we walked them up the road and put them out in the field together:

After going full pelt round the field together and a few excited bucks they settled down to eat, after five minutes you'd have thought they had been in there for months!!
 
How Super! what a fabulous weekend , I expect your very pleased. Hope you both enjoy your horses very much and have great times together.
 
20 second walk from your front door! Fantastic. :D

Do you rent the stables and field? It looks wonderful and the horses look very happy with their new digs too! :)
 
They seem very happy, I keep going up to check though, even though hubby keeps telling me to leave them alone..!
Lily has decided she is definately boss, as soon as she thinks Flint has had enough fuss at the gate she herds him away.
I'm so glad we've moved, she seems far happier than she was at the other yard. We've only had one slight incident of her barging past me to get out of her stable because she couldn't see Flint, but I'm putting that down to teething troubles because she's only just moved. I'm hoping that she'll be okay to hack out on her own and leave him behind, I never hacked her out alone at the other yard, so we'll soon see!!
