Moving to trailer travel for our 16.1 and researching all the different brands and options. I'm quite taken with the idea of a herringbone style as that is the position he traveled in before in the lorry (looking at Cheval Liberte Maxi 2 or the Fautras Oblic 2) and wondered what people's experience of these has been. I think I read somewhere that just traveling one in that position wasn't so good for weight distribution. Is that right?
Thanks in advance for input!

I have the cheval liberte mini max which is now called the maxi 3. You can move the partitions a good bit in mine depending on how much space each horse needs. I don't know about the Maxi 2 but if it's the same as mine you should be able to move them for one horse so that it is standing in the middle rather than front or back.

I love my oblic 2 and so does my horse, regularly travel one and don’t seem to have a problem, I have the older version which doesn’t have a front ramp and may struggle to manoeuvre a 16.1 in there but otherwise it’s a fab trailer! Tack room at the front very handy too!

Another with a maxi 3 and I actually prefer it for one horse over an ifor. Go for herringbone trailer and you will never go back. My horses love it. I don’t have a ramp, have a step up one with closing doors and they load better. I have travelled miles and miles with mine and the horses always come off looking good.
