A 32 year old shetland named Hovis was attacked and killed by 3 men and their dogs at 10pm last night under Digswell Viaduct - they had blocked the lane with their car - if you know anything please report it to the police - please spread the word......

I used to ride Hovis and know that all who knew him will be deeply saddened by what has happened, he brought so many children happiness over his lifetime.
RIP Hovis, you were loved by all who new knew and will be much missed :(

I feel so sickened by this it's untrue. Peoples behaviour towards defenseless, innocent animals disgusts me

.

I used to live in Disgwell about 2 minutes from the field where Hovis was kept. It's not the first time something has happened to the horses under the viaduct. A few years back some men throw fire crackers into the field at a pony called Pandora causing her to have a heart attack.

It's absoluting disgusting, I hope the catch the monsters that did this. It makes me feel sick that people could do such a thing...

Blimey, I know exactly where that is how absolutely dreadful. I hope for poor little Hovis' sake that he died quickly:(
What utterly sick people there are about.

That is disgusting, how awful. Poor poor pony.
I just don't understand why anyone could do that.
I hope they rot.

I think it's shocking, I wondered if maybe it was the same people, I think they should be shot.

I'm surprised anyone else remembers what happened to poor Pandora as it was nearly ten years ago, she was the dam of the pony I used to share there.

The majority of the ponies were bred and are kept for life by the same family. I'm so, so sad for them :(
