Took Archie out for a hack yesterday. We went past a tractor, several large lorries, a bus, many horse trailers (obviously something on at the local centre) and even an ambulance with lights flashing and sirens blaring. As usual, he just kept plodding on, not even a flicker of unease....We then went round the corner onto a much quieter road. We were presented by a sight so terrifying it caused him to slam on the anchors and spin, when I was least expecting it, therefore causing me to fall off (1st in 5 years!)

.....That terrifying sight was....prepare yourselves, only read on if you dare....a beer bottle at the side of the road. IT WASNT EVEN MOVING YOU PILLOCK :eek::eek:

Oh dear - Archie for goodness sake pull yourself together horse!

Hope you weren't hurt. What are horses like?

I did titter at bit at your description though

oh bless, they are special !! Dex is sooo brave but nearly wet himself and tried to turn and run out the other day when faced with ...... a branch lying in the hedge !! think he thought there was a snake !!

Hope you aren't too bruised and pony is duly mortified at himself !!

Nothing worse than a soggy bottom thanks to landing in a puddle, but today I feel like I did 2 hours in the gym yesterday rather than 3 seconds falling. If only the aching meant it had had the same fat burning effect.

I'd forgotten what it was like I haven't fallen off in so long. I thought now that I'm not jumping him those days were over. I've only ever fallen off him jumping before as he kept stopping. Now we know it's because he had bad feet and he doesn't do it any more I thought I was safe!
