P arrived from Spain today, after a 4 night / 5 day journey. He was fairly on edge when he arrived and was terrified of the two rubber mats at the entrance to his stable, but quickly realised that if he wanted attention he would have to step on them so within 20 minutes he chilled out! He and a mare opposite have been making eyes at each other - she's in season and he's obviously not realised yet that he can no longer do anything about it ;)

Here are some pics of him arriving, can't wait for him to settle and start getting to know each other!

Oops - got my finger in the way...

Checking out the paddocks - what a lot of grass! He's not seen his starvation paddock yet, I'm sure he'll be less impressed ;)

In his huge stable getting attention, bliss! Avoiding those evil rubber mats though.

He is so gorgeous, i love his updates so look forwards to many more. Must be a bit of a culture shock for him after such a long journey! He looks lovely and sounds very friendly, bless him. Good luck with getting to know him really well over the next few days. I think i would be camping in the stable so i didn't have to tear my eyes away from him hehe

Glad he arrived safely. Bet he's relieved to be 'home'.
Best of luck with him. Keep the piccies coming. Love them :)

Thanks guys! Went to see him this morning and he's obviously feeling a bit more secure, after sticking to me like glue yesterday he just wanted to munch his haynet! Covered in shavings too so he's obviously had a good roll :)

somethingorother - I think the yard already thinks we're a bit nuts and joked about setting up a camp bed in his stable for my OH!! Oh dear...

Yeah, so pleased he got here safely! Bless him, he looked pooped coming off the lorry (unsurprisingly). Can't wait to hear how he settles in over the coming months. xx
