i think i was a bit out of order today, but i had to tell him owner straight. He has just recovered from his hoof abcess and is lame on the other hoof.... typical!!

she has someone to see him on thursday and told me to bute him up because he has to go. and if he dont go then he will have to go to a dealer. so i asked her if she had thought about having him put down, cutting her losses and doing whats best for him. i dont think she liked it much. she phoned back saying she had found someone to take him on a full permant loan, a bloke that has his own field with stables and takes on knackered horses!

so hes off! i dont know weather to feel happy or sad!

This bloke sounds too good to be true....
I'd advise her to seriously not go there, too many people these days do just bute up and sell on. Becomes someone else's problem.

Poor horse

yes i too belive that it is to good to be true. i would try and purswade her to do something else.

no horse deserves to go from home to home

i hope the owner changes her mind

its not really in my hands she wants rid, i told her what i think would be best for him, i dont really have a say.

im going to take him there so i can check it out and go back to see him, its not too far from me so ill try and keep an eye on him.

thanks i didnt actually see what you both have pointed out. im too trusting!

its a shame, i take it shes not asking much? if this man was a bit iffy he would not pay a bug price. i dont know the story of the horse but i do feel for it. its deserves the best. its a shame the owner does not seem to realise!!

i hope this bloke is genuine and is a nice person.

shes not selling him, well this is what she said.

that hes going out on a full permant loan so techicnally she will still own him but this bloke will take over the costs.
he will be a compaion if he stays lame and he has a girl to ride him if he comes sound.

Hmmm, tough for you, and for him maybe, but I hope you find a less soul-destroying horse to focus your energies on. You are a good rider who uses her brain, there will be many more rewarding moments to come....
